cultures unite #2

..  I looked at him in disbelieve and immediately interrogated him why did he do that.  His answer was something unexpected as I was expecting perhaps its related to some personal emotions motive.  It turns out during one of his cycling adventure, the weather took a drastic turn and became bitterly cold.  To keep himself from frostbites, he had no other choice but to burn his book to keep himself warm.  I stared at him in disbelieve thinking really?! Its like another episode of survivors.  I only see this in tele, hear it from the radio, read it from the magazines but to be meeting a person face to face like this has brought the experience to a whole other level.
It acquires someone who has not just physical fitness but extremely strong will power to accomplish such a fit.

It was a wonderful experience to hear their story and approach to life.

cultures unite

Recently I have been actively involved in international groups, bringing worlds and cultures into a single unity.  Being in a country like Canada which forty percent of its populations are immigrants, it is not surprising that the other person who seats beside you on the bus is from half way across the globe and have reside in Canada and called it home.
Never in my life have I experienced that communication and speaking foreign language, knowing their culture and understanding them was so important.  I guess I took it all for granted being born and raised in a comparatively peaceful nation which prides itself in being multicultural and multiracial living under the same roof.
The group that I recently was active in does not have a name, not yet atleast.  But in my own personal view, I really don't think there should ever be a name to it.  I like it being so informal, being so open to the public and it is welcoming to everyone who does bump into our events.

Just a few days ago, I met a really interesting character.  Note that in life, my group of peers are always around my own age.  But now I have a good mix of different people from all walks of life, bringing a piece of their experience, wisdom and culture onto the table and sharing it.  He is a young japanese guy who is currently in VAN studying linguistic whom inspires to be an English teacher.  His approach to life simply threw me back and when he shares his experience it captivated me into his world.  He was rather tanned with a typical japanese long hair and spoke really good English.  He bike's around the globe.. No its not the one's with the engine in it but powered by his pair of legs.  Biking across Canada through the Rocky's covering thousand and thousand of kilometers alone, meeting new people and very much often being in nature.  He documented everything with a pen and paper but in the end he had not choice but to burn it...... *to be continued

Gomene

Hey there YOU! HI!!

I must really apologize for my long absence.  I have been busy lately with travelling around Vancouver, going for dinner's, work, meeting new people, getting sick *sniff sniff*, family matters.  Talking about family.  My family is heading for Vancouver inbound!  Yay!  Have been scouting over the mountains, across the lakes and rivers to find a place for them to stay.  I didn't know that searching for a suitable place to rent in Vancouver can be such a pain in a**.    Also my work has just started to get a little busy and now I have to work everyday till August.  So that's less sleep, more work, less play, less time, more money.

So now that I am in the midst of finalizing the rental agreement and testing out my negotiation skills with the landlord I have a little break in between to blog a little.  I have not forgotten my promise to you dear readers on a new video and am still very much involved in it.  =)  Its NOT easy to make vids with my 2 years old iPhone and my old lappy you know. Perhaps one of you rich readers can sponsor me something better? teehehe.

Well I hope you guys continue supporting and reading this blog and again I apologize for the inconsistent blogging.  Shhhhh.*** do you hear that?  My bed is whispering my name.  There goes another day, so till next time folks.  Peace out.

All Time Love

Sometimes you walk by the good ones
'Cos you're trying to hard, too hard to see them
And sometimes you don't find the right lines
'Cos you're trying too hard, too hard to hear them
But you know what it feels like
''Till an all time love
'Cos nothing else is good enough
I want an all time love to find me

Some days you're too set in your ways
And you forget to shut up, shut up and listen
And some days you just have to misplace all your mistakes
Somewhere that you won't miss them
So stop lying that you're fine

I don't believe that it's a failing
I don't believe that it's a fault
'Cos if everything were plain sailing
Oh tell me what would there be left to exalt
